Ingredients

For the Cones
  • 4 cones Waffle cones gluten-free available
  • 1 cup Chocolate melts
For the Ice Cream
  • 2 cups Vanilla ice cream consider lighter version
  • 1 cup Red fruit toppings e.g., strawberries or raspberries
  • 1 cup Blue fruit toppings e.g., blueberries or blackberries
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Whipped cream dairy-free version available
  • 1 cup Red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • 1 cup Chocolate syrup sugar-free version available

Equipment

  • Double boiler
  • Spatula
  • ice cream scoop
  • parchment paper
  • tall glass or cone holder

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Melt chocolate melts in a double boiler over medium heat, stirring until smooth (about 5 minutes). Dip the inside of each waffle cone into chocolate and place upside down on a parchment-lined tray to set for approximately 15 minutes.
  2. Scoop vanilla ice cream into each cone, filling generously. If ice cream is soft, place in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to make it easier to top.
  3. Add fresh strawberries or raspberries for the red layer, then scatter blueberries or blackberries on top.
  4. Pipe a swirl of whipped cream on top of each cone for a fluffy finishing touch.
  5. Sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles over the whipped cream and fruit layers.
  6. Drizzle chocolate syrup over each cone to enhance sweetness.
  7. Chill assembled cones in a tall glass or cone holder for an additional 15–20 minutes before serving.
