Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the large egg and vanilla extract, blending on low speed until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Sift and mix the all-purpose flour and baking powder gradually into the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into 1-inch thick discs and place on the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft.

  8. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts of 20 seconds, stirring until smooth.
