  3. If using homemade pesto, combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan, and olive oil in a blender and blend until smooth.
  4. Layer cheese, bacon, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto between two slices of artisanal bread.
  5. In the skillet, melt butter and grill one side of the sandwich for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Flip the sandwich, add more butter, and grill the other side for another 3–4 minutes until golden.
