For the Cheese Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
For the Ghostly Toppings
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese Can be sliced by hand instead of using ghost-shaped cutters.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For Greasing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method
 

Steps
  1. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water for about 7-8 minutes until tender; drain and set aside.
  2. Create a roux by melting butter in a saucepan, whisking in flour until slightly golden.
  3. Whisk in milk gradually, cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. Stir in cheeses until melted and smooth; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine the pasta with the cheese sauce until each piece is coated.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  7. Add mozzarella ghost shapes on top, pressing them into the mac and cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
