Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, canola oil, and sugar using an electric mixer for about 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.
  4. Gradually fold in flour, baking powder, and salt, then pour in buttermilk while mixing gently until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine a portion of batter with molasses and cinnamon until blended.
  6. Layer half of the original batter into the prepared loaf pan, followed by half of the cinnamon mixture, smoothing each layer.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon mixture, creating two distinct layers.
  8. Use a butter knife to gently swirl through the layers to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
  11. While warm, dip each slice in melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
