  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika Can substitute with regular paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Can substitute with soy sauce for gluten-free
  • 1 large Egg (optional) Can omit for lower fat, or use flax egg for vegan
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (optional) Cheddar or mozzarella based on preference
  • to taste Fresh Parsley For garnish, can substitute with chives

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cabbage into ½ inch thick rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the ground meat with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and optional egg.
  4. Form the mixture into patties that fit on the cabbage rounds and place each patty on top of its corresponding cabbage slice.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes until the cabbage is golden and the patties are well-cooked.
  6. If using cheese, add it on top of each patty and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until melted and golden.
  7. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve hot with dipping sauces or a fresh salad.
