Cooking Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook according to the package instructions.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, beaten egg, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Layer noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, shredded mozzarella, and meat sauce. Repeat, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow lasagna to cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
