For the Lasagna
  • 12 ounces Lasagna Noodles Opt for oven-ready noodles

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook according to the package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, beaten egg, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until smooth.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Layer noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, shredded mozzarella, and meat sauce. Repeat, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow lasagna to cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
