  • 24 ounces Salsa Verde store-bought
For the Rice and Beans
  • 4 cups Ready Rice pre-cooked
  • 15.5 ounces Black Beans rinsed
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil, allowing it to shimmer.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Introduce the diced chicken and cook for about 5 minutes until browned.
  4. Add minced garlic, cumin, and oregano; sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in salsa verde and stir; simmer for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in the ready rice and rinsed black beans; let heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, add lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately with optional sides like tortilla chips or salad.
