Method
 

Steps
  1. Begin by slicing the zucchini into half-inch square sticks, about 2-3 inches long. Quarter the onion and slice into half-inch pieces.
  2. Preheat a sauté pan or wok over medium-high heat for about 1 minute. Add the vegetable oil and let shimmer.
  3. Add the sliced onion to the pan and sauté for about 2 minutes, until softened and slightly translucent.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger into the pan with the onions, cooking for about 30 seconds.
  5. Add the prepared zucchini sticks to the pan, turning heat up to medium-high if necessary. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring every minute.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sesame seeds. Sauté for an additional minute.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer the Hibachi Zucchini to a serving dish. Serve with fried rice or grilled proteins.
