Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, minced garlic, and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Stir the dry ingredients together until evenly mixed, then gradually pour in warm water, stirring until a wet, sticky dough forms.
  2. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let it rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  3. Once the dough has risen, lightly flour a clean surface and gently turn the dough out onto it. Fold the dough onto itself a few times to shape it without overworking.
  4. While shaping the dough, place your Dutch oven in the oven and preheat to 450°F (230°C) for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Carefully remove the Dutch oven and place your shaped dough inside. Cover it with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Uncover the pot and continue baking for another 15 minutes, until the bread is golden brown.
