- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, minced garlic, and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Stir the dry ingredients together until evenly mixed, then gradually pour in warm water, stirring until a wet, sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let it rise at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
- Once the dough has risen, lightly flour a clean surface and gently turn the dough out onto it. Fold the dough onto itself a few times to shape it without overworking.
- While shaping the dough, place your Dutch oven in the oven and preheat to 450°F (230°C) for at least 30 minutes.
- Carefully remove the Dutch oven and place your shaped dough inside. Cover it with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover the pot and continue baking for another 15 minutes, until the bread is golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the bread from the Dutch oven and transfer it to a wire rack. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
