Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice cabbage into thick rounds, about ½ inch each, and coat both sides with olive oil.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground protein, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and egg (if using). Mix well.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties to fit the cabbage rounds.
  5. Place cabbage rounds on a baking sheet and top each with a meat patty. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese on top, then broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is golden.
  7. Let cool slightly, garnish if desired, and serve with sauces or sides.
