Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together ¾ cup of unsalted butter, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and ¾ cup of brown sugar for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add 1 room temperature egg and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, mixing on low speed just until combined.
  6. Gently fold in 1 cup of M & M’s and ½ cup of sprinkles using a spatula.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
