  • 1 cup Beef Broth Vegetable broth can be used as substitute.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Use low-sodium if preferred.
For the Mash
  • 2 cups Mashed Potatoes Sweet potatoes can be a nutritious alternative.
  • 2 tbsp Butter Can substitute with olive oil for dairy-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Almond or oat milk for dairy-free.
  • 1 cup Cheese Optional; sharp cheddar preferred.
For Assembly
  • 12 pieces Phyllo Pastry Cups or Mini Pie Shells Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs e.g., parsley, thyme.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté finely diced onions, garlic, carrots, and peas in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef or lamb and cook until browned, about 7–10 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stir, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked potatoes, butter, and milk, mashing until smooth.
  6. Assemble the cups by filling phyllo cups with filling, then top with mashed potatoes and optional cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
