- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine ground beef and ground hot sausage. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, breaking the meat into smaller pieces until browned.
- While the meat is browning, dice Velveeta cheese into small cubes and set aside.
- Once the meat is thoroughly cooked, drain excess fat and return the skillet to the heat. Add diced Velveeta cheese and stir for 2-3 minutes until melted.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce, oregano, garlic salt, and salt. Stir for another minute to combine flavors.
- Preheat broiler to high and line a baking sheet with slices of party rye bread.
- Use a cookie scoop to portion out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of the filling onto each slice of rye bread.
- Broil under high for about 2-3 minutes, watching closely for bubbling and slight golden color.
- Optionally sprinkle chopped parsley over the appetizers before serving.
