Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a generous tablespoon of olive or coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once shimmering, add garlic, ginger, and grated turmeric.
  2. Pour in 4 cups of broth, stirring well to combine with the aromatics. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add several slices of fresh lemon. Lower the heat and partially cover the pot, allowing to simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in fresh lemon juice and sprinkle chopped scallions. Season with salt.
  5. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot, with lemon slices and ginger included.
