Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350℉ (175℃) and prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together all-purpose flour, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream together softened butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate eggs and vanilla into the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing gently to combine.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 38-42 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
