  • 2 tablespoons marinade oil from the jar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
Pasta Salad
  • 1 pound rotini pasta Barilla recommended
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into ½-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup peperoncini freshly sliced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup pickled onion
  • 1 pound mixed salami, ham, and pepperoni can substitute turkey or prosciutto
  • 2 cups lettuce shredded, added before serving

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Cook the pasta in salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente, then cool.
  2. Prepare ingredients: cube mozzarella, slice peperoncini, halve tomatoes, and shred lettuce.
  3. Make the dressing by whisking all dressing ingredients together until smooth.
  4. Combine the cooled pasta with mozzarella, peperoncini, tomatoes, onions, and meats.
  5. Add the dressing and gently mix to coat all ingredients evenly.
  6. Chill the pasta salad for at least 2 hours before serving.
  7. Add the shredded lettuce before serving and enjoy!
