Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 to 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Cut halloumi cheese into bite-sized cubes and pat dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a bowl, mix halloumi cubes with olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, and thyme. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Thread marinated halloumi onto skewers, leaving space for even cooking. Optionally add vegetables.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high for about 5 minutes until hot.
  6. Grill skewers for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  7. For an alternative, bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Let skewers rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
