Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water (100-110°F), active dry yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let this mixture sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add in all-purpose flour, olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Stir the ingredients together using a wooden spoon or your hands until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, covering it with a kitchen towel. Set it in a warm place and allow to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the risen dough to release air bubbles and transfer it into a greased baking pan.
- Using your fingers, create dimples all over the surface of the dough, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden-brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack or cutting board.

Notes
Ensure your active dry yeast is fresh. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to 3 days, or freeze for later enjoyment.
