Preparation
- Start by washing and coring your apples, then slice them thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes until the apples are slightly softened but still firm.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a well-floured surface, roll out your thawed puff pastry.
- Cut the pastry into 2-inch wide strips.
- Take one pastry strip and lay it flat, arranging overlapping apple slices along one edge.
- Fold the bottom portion of the pastry strip up to hug the apples gently and roll it into a rose shape.
- Pinch the base to keep it secure and place each assembled rose into a greased muffin tin.
- Beat the egg thoroughly for the egg wash and apply it over the top of each rose.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the roses puff up and turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.

Notes
Ensure apples are sliced evenly for uniform cooking. Use high-quality, thawed puff pastry for best results.
