- Brew the Earl Grey Tea: Combine 1 cup of water and ¼ cup of granulated sugar over medium heat until dissolved. Add 2 tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and cool.
- Prepare the Lemon Mascarpone Cream: Zest 1 lemon into ¼ cup granulated sugar. In a mixer, combine 8 ounces mascarpone, zested sugar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 3 egg yolks. Beat until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream on medium-high until soft peaks form. Fold into the lemon mascarpone mixture.
- Assemble the Tiramisu: Dip 24 ladyfingers in the cooled tea mixture and layer them in a loaf pan. Spread half the lemon mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Add Another Layer: Repeat dipping ladyfingers and layer on top of the cream. Spread remaining lemon cream evenly on top.
- Chill and Set: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight.
- Dust and Serve: Remove from refrigerator, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
