Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Blend in the vanilla extract and sour cream until well incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the diced peaches gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Once baked, cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes then transfer it to a wire rack.
  10. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar, cooking until dissolved.
