Preparation Steps
- Begin by cutting the vanilla or pound cake into 1-inch cubes, ensuring they are uniform for even layering. Arrange the cake pieces on a plate or tray, allowing them to dry out slightly while you prepare the other components.
- Grab your mini trifle glasses or small cups to start layering. Place a generous spoonful of cake cubes at the bottom of each cup, pressing down gently with the back of a spoon.
- Spoon a layer of vanilla custard or pudding over the cake cubes in each cup, ensuring full coverage.
- Add a vibrant layer of mixed berries, sprinkling fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries on top of the custard.
- Dollop whipped cream over the berry layer, covering them completely for a beautiful finish.
- Continue layering with another round of cake cubes, followed by custard, berries, and whipped cream. Aim for at least two layers in total.
- Top each trifle with an extra swirl of whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pistachios or red and green sprinkles. A mint leaf on top adds a charming touch.
- Cover the Mini Christmas Trifles with plastic wrap and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes
For the best results, chill the trifles for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
