- Preheat your toaster or oven to 400°F (200°C). Toast sourdough slices for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Spread room temperature ricotta over each toasted slice generously.
- Slice the ripe tomatoes thinly and arrange them over the ricotta.
- Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the toasts and sprinkle with torn basil leaves.
- If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before serving warm.
