Preparation
- Start by chopping the broccoli into bite-sized florets, ensuring they will cook evenly and retain a bit of crunch.
- Season the thawed chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cooking
- In your slow cooker, place the seasoned chicken breasts at the bottom.
- Evenly distribute the chopped broccoli over the chicken, allowing the vegetables to steam deliciously above the meat.
- Pour the cream of chicken soup over everything, covering the broccoli and chicken completely.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for about 6 hours, or on high for about 3 hours.
- Check toward the end of the cooking time; the chicken should easily shred with a fork and the broccoli should be bright in color.
- When you’re about 30 minutes away from serving, stir in the cheddar cheese and replace the lid.
- Once the cheese has melted and the dish is bubbling, it's time to serve.

Notes
Always use thawed chicken for even cooking. Customize the cheese to change flavor profiles. When reheating, add a splash of broth or cream.
