  3. Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat for 6-8 hours or high heat for 4-5 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, lay a pie crust over the filling.
  5. Transfer the crockpot insert to a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes or transfer the filling to a baking dish.
