Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, remove the pot from heat and add a generous handful of lemon verbena and fresh mint leaves. Let the herbs steep for exactly 5 minutes.
  3. Carefully strain the hot tea into a heatproof pitcher using a fine mesh sieve.
  4. While the tea is still warm, add your chosen sweetener and stir well until fully dissolved.
  5. Allow the pitcher to come to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours.
  6. When ready to serve, fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over them.
  7. For an extra touch, add fresh lemon slices to each glass.
