  • 1 pound Ground Beef Use 80/20 for optimal juiciness
  • 1/4 cup Parsley finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced, optional
  • 1/2 small Onion chopped, optional
For the Pitas
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread Choose thick pita
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 cup Cheese Mozzarella or Akkawi
  • 1 teaspoon Chili or Cayenne optional for heat

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with finely chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, and any optional garlic or onion. Mix until blended and let rest for a few minutes.
  2. Take a pita bread and cut it in half to create pockets. Spoon the beef mixture into each half, pressing the edges to seal.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes and brush with oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the stuffed pita halves on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the arayes from the grill once both sides are crispy. Let rest before serving hot with dips or salad.
