- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about ½ inch thick.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F to 400°F). Brush the grill grates lightly with vegetable oil.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden-brown, then flip and brush with teriyaki sauce.
- Cook the other side for an additional 5-7 minutes until crispy.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
- Remove patties and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Toast the buns on the grill.
- Assemble the burgers on the buns with lettuce, tomatoes, and teriyaki sauce.
