Cooking Steps

  3. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then add minced garlic, chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, and asparagus. Sauté for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Create the Sauce: Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and 1 cup of heavy cream, bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Combine the Ingredients: Return sliced chicken to the skillet and fold in cooked penne pasta. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Adjust Seasoning: Sprinkle in grated Parmesan cheese, adjust salt and pepper to taste until melted and well combined.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate the dish, garnishing with additional Parmesan or black pepper if desired. Serve warm.
