Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large nonstick pan over medium heat.
  3. Add one sliced onion and one finely diced celery stalk, cooking for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Transfer softened veggies to a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add 8 ounces of flake-style imitation crab meat, 1 cup of sour cream, and ½ cup of mayonnaise to the bowl.
  6. Incorporate 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Fold in ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese into the mixture.
  8. Spread the crab mixture evenly into a greased 2-quart casserole dish, smoothing the top.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  10. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
