  • 1 lb Ground Beef can be substituted with ground turkey or pork
  • 4 medium Potatoes adjust simmer time based on potato type
  • 1 medium Onion yellow or white onions work best
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh cloves are ideal, but minced can be used
For Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper fresh ground preferred
  • 1 tsp Paprika smoked paprika for extra warmth
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil or butter for frying

Method
 

Directions
  1. Start by dicing your potatoes into small, even pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until browned.
  4. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  5. Add the diced potatoes along with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir together.
  6. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.
