  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk thoroughly.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese and chopped fresh chives with selected herbs to the dry mix, then stir gently.
  4. Pour in buttermilk and mix until just combined to form a shaggy dough.
