  • 1 cup Brown Sugar For caramelization

  • 1/2 cup Beef Drippings Reserved from cooking

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the brisket by patting it dry and rubbing with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Sear the brisket in olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  3. Transfer brisket to a slow cooker and mix beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion, and garlic. Pour over the brisket. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Remove brisket, let rest for 10 minutes on a cutting board. Shred with forks and set aside cooking liquid.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet, add brown sugar, beef drippings, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and simmer, then add shredded brisket and cook for 5-7 minutes until coated.
  6. Serve on buttered brioche buns, alongside mashed potatoes, or in tacos.
