Bavarian Cream Preparation
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over a few tablespoons of cold water and allow it to bloom for about 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and sugar over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, whisk in the bloomed gelatin until fully melted, and then let the custard cool slightly at room temperature.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled custard mixture until smooth and airy.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses or a mold, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Once set, top each serving with fresh seasonal berries and garnish with powdered sugar or chocolate.
